Antony D. Ramírez Montero, you can call me “Tony” as well. Thanks to an academic excellence scholarship, pursued his Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Robotics and Automation in Ottumwa, Iowa, United States. He is a Computer Support Technician and Industrial Electronics Technician, currently studying Electronic Engineering. He is also the president and co-founder of the third aerospace development startup in his home country (Costa Rica) which name´s BioMechaX Tech.
Antony is an active participant in various university groups, startups, and projects in Costa Rica dedicated to the aerospace industry and all things related to space sciences. He has taken part in various hackathons such as the International NASA Space Apps Challenge and international contests like the Seventh Mission Idea Contest. He is also involved in STEAM-related activities both within and outside the country, participating as both a participant and a mentor or instructor. He was member of the organizing team for the Our Giant Leap Hackathon held in South Korea by the Space Generation Advisory Council. Antony has presented two papers at the 73rd International Astronautical Congress in Paris, France. He is eager to promote this science throughout the region and the world. He is now making an internship in Rocket Factory Augsburg, Germany in avionics designing the Electrical Harness for the RFAOne, this in partnership with MTAerospace and European Space Agency (ESA).
