I was not a brilliant student when I joined COMSATS Lahore in 2007. After the first semester with a lot of stress and struggle I became able to pass with only two points something. I realize that the semester system is very tough for me to continue. So, overall in the first semester out of six courses I got 5 Cs and one B. The only “B” was lucky for me to motivate me and that was in Calculus I. Usually in the first semester it is always difficult to deal with programming language (it was C who gave me goosebumps). Alhamdulilah, I survived the first semester.
I want to write a complete story because COMSATS and the Department of Physics with excellent teachers assure me that you have abilities and you can perform well. After realizing that YES, I can never repeat all those mistakes which were done before. Alhamdulillah my second semester result was remarkable but still less than 3 CGPA.
I want to fly after the second semester and I have repaired my wings correctly and my fuel tank was full to jump into the pool of third-semester of BS(Physics). In short, I was the topper of the Physics department in all six semesters remaining. Yes, that was the success story for me as well as for my beloved Institute.
After successfully completing my BS (Physics) degree from COMSATS Lahore in 2011 I was ready to get enrolled in the MS(Physics) program but I waited for a while and got enrolled in B.Ed. professional degree from University of Education Lower Mall Campus Lahore. To become a professional teacher was my aim and I was much more interested to pass my knowledge (whatever I have learned) to my next generation. Alhamdulillah I have completed my B.Ed. professional in 2012 and got enrolled in the MS(Physics) Program at COMSATS Lahore Once again in the same year.
From 2012 to 2014 I have successfully completed my MS from the Department of Physics and enrolled in a PhD program from the same institute. In 2015 I got a fully funded scholarship from Taiwan Govt to pursue my PhD from abroad in the field of Astronomy and Astrophysics. Alhamdulillah I have completed my PhD in June 2021 from National Central University Taiwan. I always feel lucky that I am from a few people who got training in Astronomy and Astrophysics.
Now I am back in Pakistan and serving my Nation while staying as Assistant Professor in University of Management and Technology (UMT) Johar Town Lahore Pakistan.
WHY I AM INTERESTED TO SPREAD AWARENESS ABOUT ASTRONOMY AND ASTROPHYSICS
We have identified our common aims to increase citizens' awareness of the space endeavor and its impacts on our lives, and to stimulate a wider interest in science and technology
related to space. Still something I feel is we have not been able to develop the successful cooperation and collaborations around the globe. This is the time to think seriously about this
matter. We are lacking the basic education and resources in the field of Astronomy and space physics. Our education system needs a lot of improvement to motivate young minds to
explore these amazing areas of science. Many Graduates even in the field of engineering and technology know almost nothing about this applied field. Space has a tremendous role in
the sustainable development of natural resources, monitoring the state of the oceans and atmosphere, and extending our knowledge about life on Earth and beyond. The connection
needs to develop to explore space in terms of dark energy, dark matter and the role of the stars and galaxies in the context of the formation of the universe.
I highlight some key points to understand the importance of space and astronomy field
